Mi sono velocemente guardato il README del pacchetto xfoil6.99.tgz (disponibile in forma sorgente in Fortran f77 o g77)  dove leggo:

General
-------
XFOIL and its plot library should compile on any Unix system
with normal Fortran-77, C, and X-Windows support.  So far,
XFOIL has been tested on the following systems:

  DEC-5000
  Alpha
  SGI
* Sun
* RS/6000
* HP-9000
* Pentium/Linux 

Questo programma quindi, con le attenzioni del caso indicate nella documentazione, risulta compilabile sotto Linux.

Il programma di plot é dato per win32, ma credo sia possibile con i sorgenti F77 in mano utilizzare gplot (per Linux) 
=> installando pgplot5 - large subroutine library for plotting scientific data
