Such systems can exploit explanations in communication processes in order to justify the outcome of a reasoning procedure. E.g. in recommendation processes explanations are generated to build trust in proposed solutions. In this talk we show that current approaches of generating explanations for constraint satisfaction problems fall short. These approaches can lead to spurious explanations with respect to a proposed (or selected) solution. We introduce an extension of current explanation principles such that all explanations of properties regarding a proposed solution are well-founded explanations. CV: Since 1997 Gerhard Friedrich is full professor at the Alpen-Adria Universitaet Klagenfurt, Austria where he directs the research group on Intelligent Systems and Business Informatics and heads the Institute for Applied Informatics. Prof. Friedrich received his Ph.D. at the Technical University Vienna and worked as a guest researcher at the Stanford Research Institute and at the Corporate Research Division of Siemens AG. Before his engagement at the University Klagenfurt, Prof. Friedrich was head of the technology centre for configurators and diagnosis systems of Siemens Austria where under his responsibility numerous knowledge-based systems were successfully implemented. Prof. Friedrich has published more than 100 articles in highly renowned journals and conferences. He serves as an Editor of AI Communications and is Associate Editor of the International Journal of Mass Customisation. Prof. Friedrich and his team conduct research in the areas of knowledge based systems for configuring products and services, knowledge based advisory systems, distributed knowledge based systems, knowledge acquisition, integration of knowledge based systems, diagnosis and repair of processes as well as self healing web services. Hotel Wi-Fi

Ciao, c'e' una cosa che mi stupisce assai. Negli hotel dove mi reco, solitamente c'e' un collegamento Wi-Fi. Il gestore ti da utente e password da utilizzare. Quando ti colleghi ad una pagina internet, vieni dirottato su una form che ti chiede (giustamente) utente e password prima di lasciarti andare sulla pagina richiesta. Ma la cosa per me veramente sorprendente e' che la form e anche la pagina "action" della form non sono sotto https ma solo http. Scusate ma in questo modo chiunque puo' vedere il mio utente e password assolutamente in chiaro. Il furto d'identita' e' una cosa banalissima!!! Eppure sembra che tutto cio' sia diffuso e pure legale!!! Io ritengo questo sistema di sicurezza ridicola!! Chiunque potrebbe usare la mia password, che giustamente e' associata al mio documento d'identita', e fare cio' che vuole! Voi che ne pensate? Un saluto dal mare!!!

Botnet

Leggo spesso del diffondersi di queste botnet. Diversamente da una volta, i cracker ora preferiscono fare soldi piuttosto che dimostrare qualche sfida. Essi cercano di avere sotto controllo computer di diverse persone ignare. Con l'adsl poi i computer di molte persone sono costantemente in internet. Una volta che hanno diversi computer sotto controllo, li possono sfruttare per i loro scopi. Per esempio affittano questa botnet agli spammer oppure li usano per attacchi ddos a pagamento. Sembra che i computer sotto controllo di botnet siano miglioni. Al di la di questo triste utilizzo di internet, di questi mercati poco edificanti, il mio consiglio, soprattutto per chi ha computer costantemente collegati ad internet, di tener su le orecchie. Fate ogni tanto dei controlli per trojain o rootkit, anche se avete linux. Oppure piu' banalmente controllate l'attivita' di rete, magari quando il computer non dovrebbe far niente.

Problem mit postfix, kann mail nicht zustellen

Ich habe ein Problem bei der Konfiguration des email servers postfix. Kann mir jemand weiterhelfen? Ich glaube das größte Problem ist folgendes: wenn ich versuche eine email an meinen internen account (martin(a)erecycler.it) zu senden erhalte ich eine "relay access denied" meldung. Gmail meldet: Technical details of permanent failure: PERM_FAILURE: Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 554 554 5.7.1 <martin(a)erecycler.it>: Relay access denied (state 14). Hingegen libero.it meldet: - These recipients of your message have been processed by the mail server: martin(a)erecycler.it; Failed; 5.5.0 (other or undefined protocol status) Remote MTA mx1.rolmail.net: SMTP diagnostic: 554 5.7.1 <martin(a)erecycler.it>: Relay access denied Könnte es sein, dass rolmail, der ADSL Anbieter zu meinem Server, die mails nich weiterleitet oder liegt es an meiner Konfiguration? Wenn ich eine email sende sagt das mein mail.log, dass alles korekt versendet wurde, auch wenn ich im externen emailaccount nichts erhalte (spam folder inbegriffen) und, nach einiger Zeit, folgende Fehlermeldung. Men in the middle

Ciao, ho una domanda a cui fatico a trovare una risposta. Supponiamo io usi una connessione wi-fi di cui non sono sicuro al 100% della sicurezza. Non sto parlando niente di strano, per esempio di un hotel o un locale. Se io mi collego per esempio a gmail con https, sarebbe possibile che qualcuno si inserisca in mezzo e cerchi di fare un "men in the middle" cioe' io credo di parlare con il server finale, invece parlo con lui? Questo lo ritengo difficile da un esterno, ma dal gestore del locale? Potrebbe installare tipo un transparent proxy per l'https? Oppure https e certificati garantiscono che io sto parlando con il server finale? Grazie, ciao!

montare la /home su dispositivo esterno...

Ciao a tutti, a questo link http://www.debianitalia.org/modules/wfsection/article.php?articleid=169 trovate un articolo su come usare la partizione /home da un dispositivo esterno (e ritorno) ... molto interessante e utile per la mia cronica mancanza di spazio, ma ho un pò paura a pasticciare la /home, perderei un archivio cui tengo davvero molto. Qualcuno di voi ha provato ? Funziona ? E soprattutto secondo voi c'è il rischio di perdere dati ? A Beppe: grazie per la tua risposta su knoppix. Raf

ciao a tutti...una domanda, anzi tre..

Ciao ragazzi grazie per il vostro benvenuto... Beppe, tu hai installato knoppix..io l'ho sempre usata live per rimediare a qualche kernel panic o altre aminità del genere...una volta installata si comporta come una qualsiasi altra distro ? Ho sempre avuto l'impressione fosse stracarica di tutto...un problema adattarla a esigenze specifiche e poi dopo l'installazione come va su un portatile ? Cioè per quanti componenti bisogna impazzire per installare i driver ? Qualcuno di voi ha un eeepc 701 (eh sì, sono una dei tanti accorsi alle sirene di questo piccoletto) ? A quanto so il modem è presente sulla piastra (almeno sul mio, dato che la scanner hardware lo vede), ma senza alcun collegamento..non basta togliere il gommino che copre l'ingresso e collegare un jack. Qualcuno di voi ha aperto il suo e visto quanto può essere collegabile senza operazioni "chirurgiche" ? L'ultima domanda riguarda un mio problema, io vivo a 1400m e l'azienda che ha portato qui l'adsl non è conveniente per un privato, ergo viaggio a 56k..qualcuno di voi conosce un' anima pietosa che potrebbe masterizzarmi su dvd la opensuse 11 (incluso il kernel source) al costo delle spese del supporto, di masterizzazione e di invio ? ah...grazie dell'invito agli incontri settimanali...spero di riuscire a partecipare uno di questi giorni...
