The Goal Question Metric (GQM) approach has proven itself useful in a variety of industrial settings to support quantitative software project management. However, it does not address linking software measurement goals to higher-level goals of the organization in which the software is being developed. This linkage is important, as it helps to justify software measurement efforts and CV: Jürgen Münch is Division Manager for Quality Management at the Fraunhofer Institute for Experimental Software Engineering (IESE) in Kaiserslautern, Germany. Before that, Dr. Münch was Department Head for Processes and Measurement at IESE and an executive board member of the temporary research institute SFB 501, which focused on software product lines. Dr. Münch received his PhD degree (Dr. rer. nat.) in Computer Science from the University of Kaiserslautern, Germany, at the chair of Prof. Dr. Dieter Rombach. His main industrial consulting and research activities are in the areas of process management, goal-oriented measurement, model-based project management, and quality assurance. Dr. Münch has significant project management experience and has headed various large research and industrial system engineering projects, including the definition of international quality and process standards. He has been teaching and training in both university and industry environments. Dr. Münch has co-authored more than 80 international publications and will serve as program co-chair for the ESEM 2008 conference. Reference person: Barbara Russo <mailto:%20Barbara.Russo@unibz.it>

audio workshop

Hallo Liste, ein für manche interessantes Wokshop könnte eines über Tonverarbeitung sein. Wie überträgt man eine Schallplatte auf den Laptop um dann eine CD zu brennen? Welche Mikrofone sind geeignet um den PC als Diktiergerät, welche um ihn zum Aufnehmen der Hausmusik zu verwenden? Welche Eigenschaften haben die verschiedenen Audio-Dateien? Gibt es ein freies Notensatzprogramm? Das Thema würde sicher mehr als ein workshop füllen. Hat jemand von Euch schon so viel ausprobiert, dass er ein workshop in dieser Richtung halten könnte? Bolzano partecipa al Document Freedom Day 2008!!!

Ciao a tutti, vi segnalo che in occasione del Document Freedom Day a Bolzano verrà organizzato un seminario con degli esperti dal mondo del Free Software. Ci sarà anche Simone Aliprandi collaboratore di Carlo Piana l'avvocato che ha diffeso Samba e FSFE nel caso Anti-Trust della Commissione Europea contro la MS. Il seminario è intitolato: "Formati aperti e documenti liberi" interverranno: * Italo Vignoli, Progetto Linguistico Italiano OpenOffice.org: "Open Document Format e Open Office XML: confronto e interoperabilità" * Andrea Zanni, Wikisource: "Wikisource e gli altri progetti Wikimedia" * Simone Aliprandi, Copyleft-Italia.it: "Opencontent e nuove forme di editoria" * Marco Ciurcina, Studiolegale.it: "Aspetti legali dei formati liberi" * Lorenzo Bianchi, CTS Einaudi: "Formati aperti nella multimedialità" Il tutto è organizzato dal servizio di Formazione Continua sul Lavoro del Centro di Formazione Professionale CTS "L. Einaudi", in collaborazione con il TIS Free Software Center e con la sponsorizzazione di GreenClimber Crystal Innovation e si svolgerà presso la sala convegni di via S.Geltrude 3, mercoledì 26 marzo, dalle ore 17.30 alle 20.00 Marco Caresia del CTS mi ha informato che ci sarebbe uno spazio per il LUGBZ dove si potrebbero esporre informazioni sulle attività dell'associazione. Qualcuno dei soci ha la possibilità di allestire un piccolo stand? Sarebbe bello poter esporre una brochure con la presentazione e le attività (incontri, workshop, ...) del LUGBZ. core dump howto

Hallo, ich wollte mich mal mit core dump und "offline" debuggen beschäftigen... ich habe mal versucht ein ganz dummes C beispiel zu machen... ***************************************** #include <stdio.h> int main(void) { int *fd=0; *fd=340; printf("done\n"); } ************************************** Natürlich generiert dieser code in *fd=340; ein segmentation fault, aber kein core dump wird generiert... ich habe mit gcc -dH compiliert. Fehlt da noch was? Danke und Gruesse Dietrich
