Come a Stefano mi interesserebbe capire quanto la comunità del software libero
usa SL e perchè.
Mi interesserebbe anche capire, se SL potrebbe diventare un posto dove la
comunità si potrebbe incontrare. Visto l'incremento esponenziale di meetings
dei membri attivi del LUGBZ potrebbe anche venir comodo ;)

Guten Tag,
ich biete in der Mittelschule ab dem 2. Semester einen kleinen
Computerkurs an, indem ich gerne auch kleinere Programme mit den
Schülern erstellen möchte. Habe schon ein wenig mit Python im Unterricht
experimentiert. Bin mir aber nicht sicher ob Python die richtige Sprache
zum Lernen ist. Welche Programmiersprache würde mir die Liste
vorschlagen? Wenn möglich sollte sie frei zugänglich sein.

Abstract: The European Patent Office (EPO) grants European patents
for the contracting states to the European Patent Convention (EPC).
The mission of the EPO is to support innovation, competitiveness and
economic growth for the benefit of the citizens of Europe. Its task
is to grant European patents for inventions, on the basis of a
centralised procedure. By filing a single application in one of the
three official languages (English, French and German) it is
possible to obtain patent protection in some or all of the EPC
contracting states. After, a short presentation of the EPO itself;
the definition, the criteria for eligibility of a patent will be
presented in the first part of the talk.
In the second part, the various motivation for having a patent and
some aspects of strategic patent filing will be addressed. Despite
the fact that firms see the patent system as a relatively weak mean
for securing economic return from a technological innovation, the
patent system is still advertised as a mean of public welfare with
the formula: Invention + Patent = Innovation and extensively used by
the same firms as a very important tool for securing IP
(intellectual property) assets. Some concrete examples will be
provided.
Author: Since December 2002, Mathias Hedouin works as an examiner in
the semiconductor processing method domain at the European Patent
Office. Aside, is daily work of examining patents he is also
interested in studying patent filing as both indicator of innovation
and strategic tool.
He received a PhD in Physics as a Marie-Curie fellow from Birmingham
University (UK) in collaboration with Chalmers University within the
FPV on "atomic and molecular manipulation". Previously, he studied
Physics at both universities Heinrich-Heine (Duesseldorf, DE) and Nantes
(FR) within the French-German University scheme obtaining a full honour
Master degree in theoretical physics in 1998.

Alcuni workshop sono già stati pianificati e ne verrà data comunicazione
al più presto.

tematiche di particolare interesse che vorreste vengano proposte sotto
forma di workshop di 2+ ore.
Allo stesso tempo saremmo lieti se qualcuno, oltre a proporre
l'argomento, decidesse di tenere il workshop stesso o proponesse un
eventuale speaker.

La mia scheda è una Intel 945GM.
Qualche idea?
