Linux in Kombination mit Win-XP Home auf einem Notebook

Hallo an alle, was würdet ihr mir für eine Linux Distribution empfehlen, wenn ich sie in Kombination mit win-xp-home (kann leider aus bestimmten gründen nicht auf windows verzichten ;o( ) auf meinem Notebook installieren möchte. Wo finde ich diese??? Falls es sie gratis gibt??? grüße Abler Matthias

Chi puo' distribuire volantini e' invitato ad prendere alcuni. In 10 Tagen findet die naechste GNU/Linux Installation Party statt. Hallo. Ich habe einen Highpoint-370er Controller und derzeit Ubuntu 5.10. Ich möchte jetzt einer Platte(dem home-verzeichnis) einen Partner spendieren, dass sie zusammen auf mirroring laufen. Prinzipiell habe ich zwar schon Anleitungen gefunden, wie man vorgeht... mein Problem ist jetzt, ob man das einfach on the fly ohne formatieren und neu partitionieren und ohne tückische ecken verwirklichen kann??? also dmraid installieren, platte einbauen, im controllerbios spiegeln und über die /etc/fstab als array ansprechen... danke ando

Free University of Bolzano Internet

Hi, I hope you won't mind my english. I am studying here in Bozen as an exchange student. My question is: is it possible to use the university wireless connection and the wired connection offered in student hostel Rainerum without using the commercial Aegis client? I know wpa_supplicant supports ieee802.1x authentication (which seems to be what the university is using), but I didn't manage to get it to work. If any of you have done this, could you send me the relevant parts of the config files? Thanks in advance, Domas
