Cambiare distro

Ciao a tutti, appurato che mi leggete vi chiedo un consiglio... ;) Finita la sessione di esami, pensavo di ridare vita alla mia piccola Joey (notebook Dell 8600), cambiando partizionamento e magari renderla(mi) felice con una nuova distro... Ora quel che vi vorrei chiedere è proprio che distro mi consigliereste... Al momento monto la Suse 9.2 con la quale devo dire di trovarmi abbastanza bene... Forse però un po' lentina... Mi piacerebbe qualcosa di più snello, ma non "troppo difficile" da configurare, anche se questo "cambio" è proprio dato dal mio interesse a mettere mano a qualcosa che non sia Yast... Insomma, avete delle proposte?! Grazie ^_^ Andrea

problemino col sound

Ciao a tutti, Ho un problemino che mi perseguita da un po di tempo...: Quando ascolto musica, non si sentono altri suoni come p.es. avvertimenti di amsn messenger o simile.. Appena spengo la musica (XMMS) si sentono tutti di fila. Uso ALSA come output per XMMS e per amsn uso play $sound (non so quale tipo di output usi..) Qualcuno sa come si puó risolvere sta facenda?
