UBS Warburg is the Investment Banking arm of UBS AG, one of the world's
most prominent banking institutions.
We have an immediate need for a developer with VisualWorks, Envy and
GemStone experience. This position is restricted to people who have EU
passports and/or valid Swiss work and residency permits.
Project Description
DBO is a production settlement system for money market, fiduciary, FRA,
precious metal, and FX/PM option investments. It is built using modular
object-oriented frameworks with a robust and flexible development process.
Development Tasks
Most of the client and server modules are written in VisualWorks Smalltalk
with a GemStone/S ODBMS transaction repository. The environment uses a
common source code base for a variety of applications and processing
subsystems. Developers are expected to work with business analysts and
users to review specifications, develop test cases and create accurate
estimates of their assigned tasks.
Environment
The atmosphere is casual and friendly, but professional. We have an annual
ski trip and frequent social events.Zurich is rated as the number one
place in the world to live by William Mercer associates. English is the
main language for UBS Warburg and German is the main language for UBS AG.
Core technical skills required:
- Strong confidence with VisualWorks Smalltalk and Envy/Developer
- Experience with GemStone/S
Additional technical skills:
- MQ Series experience is desirable
- Solaris and X/Windows familarity is useful
Timeframe:
Immediate, permanent position

1. Der Audio treiber liegt im Quellcode.
Was muss ich tun um ihn korrekt zu kompilieren?
Wenn ich mich nicht täusche, habe ich das Richtige getan.
Das System hat aber behauptet, dass ich erst den Kernel kompilieren
muss. Kann das stimmen und wie kann ich das bei meinem redhat tun?
2. Mir gelingt es nicht ins Internet zu gehen. Gestern war ich für kurze
Zeit drinnen, wurde aber gleich wieder rausgeschmissen.

Hallo!
Ich habe ein Problem beim konfigurieren des X-Servers unter
Red Hat 6.2. Wenn ich mit Xconfigurator alles einstelle,
und danach Den X-Server starten will bekomme ich immer
folgende Fehlermeldung:
Bei Ihrer X-Konfiguration gibt es eoblem. Sie können
zurückgehen und die Einstellungen ändern, oder das Programm
jetzt beenden.
Ich habe den Treiber für die Grafikkarte heruntergeladen
und installiert. Alle anderen Einstellungen scheinen auch
richtig zu sein. Weiss vielleicht von euch jemand was hier
los ist?

Hallo, ich soll einem Kumpel helfen unter Linux mit einem Alcatel Speed Touch
USB (DSL) online zu gehen, wir haben es mit SuSE und RedHat probiert und
leider nicht geschaft.
